Schaaf uses special short-wave and medium-wave infrared emitters for the thermal post-treatment of the products, which, in contrast to conventional hot-air drying processes, operate with a very high degree of efficiency.
The infrared drying process does not require the heating of dry air, the extrudate is heated directly by the infrared radiation. The heat flow within the product carries the moisture to the outside, where it is extracted by the air flow of the built-in room air blower.
The stepless control of the heat emission allows the energy flow to be precisely determined, from gentle drying to browning roasting.
The roasting drum runs on special, low-noise carrier rollers and is made of corrosion-resistant materials. The special drum profile guarantees a gentle circulation of the product and ensures a uniform drying result.
The continuously adjustable drum speed and a discharge device that can be adapted to the products enable the filling level in the drum to be regulated.
